Solo Exhibition: Sleepless Under the Sea, Tonight I See the Gods
2023/Image, Installation/Kaohsiung
‘Some sea routes are just spoken of but never seen, and some stories are just heard of but never experienced. People from the land wonder what it’s like under the sea. On the sleepless nights, a man wanders along the harbor, drifting between the reality and the memories. Secret words mingle among the sound of the wave. Guided by the faded moonlight, the consciousness is curled back to the ocean and floating to islands far and near.’
This project focuses on smuggling. The artist intertwines his personal memories and the stories he collects to create another possibility of how smuggling becomes a pathway of thinking and action from image and language. Use "escape" and "collaboration" as keywords to re-examine the relationships between individuals, society, the sea, islands, and nations.

"Tshiū - á Siann" Whispers of Trees
2021/Zhou Xuanhong x Wei Zhaoyi Video and Soundscape Concert
Trees endure time and memories. The environment and living beings revolve around trees, forming a collective life community.
Young composer CHOU Hsuan-hung and young film director WEI Zhao-yi's cross-collaboration, co-creation project focuses on trees and consists of the conducting of recording, filming, soundscaping, and music writing in Kaohsiung.
Through this project and performance, the perspective of trees is used to view the appearance of trees within the environment of human activity and further observe humans' state of mind within this environment. Through the guidance of films, images, and music, the audience watches the swaying of the shadows of trees and listens to music and those often-ignored sounds. In doing so, in addition to bringing out the imprints of life surroundings, from within the rhythm of everyday life, one is able to enter an unordinary sensual experience. Akin to daydreaming under a tree, one enters a world that is on the borderline between fantasy and reality, inspiring us to reflect upon the interaction.

To Live with You
2020/Documentary/13 minutes/Director/ Taoyuan Landscape Art Festival
When the Taoxi River flows beneath Chongde Road day and night this month, how will people describe the relationship between life and the river? As people move to and from this land, how much of the memories of the river can still be recalled? On the ordinary summer days filled with the sounds of frogs and cicadas, how will the invisible river and the river in memory converge? How will the sky describe the landscape here? What footprints will life leave behind, and how does the water flow through each different life? When I arrive here with my camera, I will live alongside this land. The people I meet and the things I see will be the objects of my exploration for answers. The words, figures, and traces I record will weave together into intimate whispers left for future generations.
