Introduction

Chen Zi-Hua/ Uselrepe, a member of the Rukai (Drekay) tribe from Wutai, Pingtung, is a documentary filmmaker and camera manufacturer. She previously participated in a residency at the Tainan National University of the Arts College of Visual Arts, studying classical Wet Plate Collodion photography. She continues creating artworks using classical photographic techniques and exploring various box camera forms. She conducts street photography sessions under the name “kā lín hip-siòng” in Taiwanese Hokkien and founded “Dubbing PHOTO” to organize workshops and creative engagement in local spaces. Recently, she has been working on documentary films and experimental videos related to indigenous people and related discussions, engaging in a dialogue with her own identity.
